Beats Playlist

I’m obsessed with making the absolute best playlists for for all my Barre classes. In nearly every class I teach I’m asked by clients to please share my playlists. You, my readers and clients are my motivation to create playlists for ChampagneYogi.

Music provides an incredible energy source. When I’m teaching songs are uplifting, carry a deep base you can’t help but shake your tush to. I want clients to lose themselves in the 60 minutes they are with me. To let go of their every day worries and to give in to the simple act of movement.

So I thought I’d share some of my personal favourite tunes to get your groove on too. The movie Bohemian Rhapsody was an inspiration for the December Beats playlist. After a little digging I found a fantastic rendition of the hit “another one bites the dust”. It’s such a fab tune. You’ll start to see how much I love tunes with solid deep bass vibes and a grovey catchy beat.

Each “BEATS” playlist will offer an upbeat vibe. You can go for a run, hit the gym, or create a dance party in your undies at home – no-one will know right? December Beats has some throwback tunes in it from my childhood. I get such a kick out of seeing my clients smile when they hear a familiar song and better yet to hear them sing along with an oldie but goodie tune transformed into a fantastic workout song.

You’ll notice I end all my Beats playlists with a couple cool down songs. If you are out for a run, use this time to walk for a few minutes and focus on your breathe and then follow up with a light stretch. Remember to practice deep belly breathing during this time! If you are indoors, give yourself a few extra minutes of bridge lifts – I love to focus on my tush after a great workout and then a restorative stretch and breathe sequence.
