Monday Motivation is your weekly dose of mindfulness and inspiration delivered directly to your mailbox. These “mini posts” are written to clear out negative mental chatter, uplift your mind, body and spirit and motivate you so you can skip through the remainder of your week full of love and excitement.


Be the first with family and friends…

In our technological world where person to person communication is seriously lacking and the tender touch or kind word from a friend is becoming more rare. Be the first to act.

Don’t wait for someone to reach out to you. Be the first.

Be the first to sign up for your kiddos field trip. Be the first to invite a friend over for a cup of tea (matcha perhaps). Be the first to apologise without arguing your case. Be the first to reach out and give someone a hug.

Be the first to clear up after dinner. Be the first to offer your support. Be the first to offer an ear to someone in need. Be the first to reach out and ask if your friends and family are ok. Be the first.

Be the first with strangers…

Be the first to say goodmorning to your lover, children, work colleagues, strangers on the street.

Break uncomfortable silence by being the first person to walk into a room and smile. Be the first to offer support to someone in need.

Allow the person next to you to walk through a door first. Hold it open and smile. Be the first to offer your service or support. Be the first to ask at the check out stand how someones day is going. Be the first to offer a compliment and genuinely mean it.

Be the first…

Make it your mission this week to be the first with everything. Choose kindness, generosity and empathy over fear, selfishness and insecurity.

Make a conscious effort to reach out and make connections. Notice how wonderful this feels, and notice how it impacts the other person. This ripple effect of kindness will not only shift your own perspectives, but it is a incredibly powerful way to impact the world around you in a positive way.

The world needs more love, more generosity, and more people like you. Don’t be afraid to share your light. Share your gift of love, kindness and generosity with everyone around you. The world needs more people like you.
