Primordial Sound Meditation, or PSM, is a simple, yet powerful technique developed by Dr’s Deepak Chopra and David Simon, to release stress and experience inner calm and deep relaxation.
For thousands of years, people have used meditation to move beyond the mind’s busy activity and emotional turbulence into profound, deep healing and expanded awareness. In our modern world and the age of digital devices, social media, and overworked schedules, the restful awareness we experience during meditation is more valuable than ever.
The term “restful awareness” captures the unique combination of physical relaxation and an alert yet quiet mind. The pace of life has accelerated, and every day we are bombarded with more information and stimulation than our ancestors encountered during entire lifetimes. Not surprisingly, the number of people suffering from stress, anxiety, insomnia, and chronic health problems is on the rise– and many are searching for peace of mind.
The most direct way to experience inner silence and wellbeing is meditation, a tool to rediscover the body’s own inner intelligence. As scientific research reveals, when you meditate, your breathing slows, blood pressure decreases, and stress hormone levels fall.
Primordial sound Meditation is a mantra based technique. The word mantra means “vehicle of the mind” and a mantra is used as a “vehicle” to transcend thought and mechanics of the mind. You will receive a personal mantra to use during meditation which is calculated using your birth date, time of birth, and location in which you were born. Using this information along with Vedic mathematics, we can determine your personalized vibrational sound that was occuring in the Universe at your time of birth. This vibrational sound is then assigned as your personal mantra. When a mantra is repeated consistently during meditation you are then able to reach a state of deep rest as your nervous system calms down. As activity in your body slows, including the activity in your mind, you then slip into the gap which is the silent space of infinite possibilities.
Meditation isn’t about forcing your mind to be quiet, it’s about experiencing the silence that’s already there and making it a part of your life. Silence is the birthplace of happiness, creativity and infinite possibilities. PSM includes two 75-minute sessions:
Session One
- You will be introduced to the basic principles of primordial sound meditation, it’s history, and the relevance of your mantra.
- We will discuss what is meditation and the healing benefits of a meditation practice.
- We will cover the concept of the “Software of the Soul” and how you can apply these concepts to your everyday life to work towards positive change and deconditioning.
- Sacred ceremony receiving your mantra and how to use it.
- You will receive your personal mantra and learn how to use it. Receiving your mantra is a very special and sacred experience.
- Meditation

- Common questions are answered.
- We explore the Higher States of Consciousness that may unfold with regular meditation. Mindfulness techniques and how best to establish your meditation practice.
