Wellness Tonic

If you are feeling like you need a little pick me up, then this Wellness Tonic is for you. Perhaps you’ve had a long day at the office or maybe you are starting to feel run down? Scratchy throat? Sniffles? Or it could be something as simple as needing an energy boost.

When your colleagues at the office are dropping like flies. Kids are bringing home who knows what bugs from school and hand sanitizer is your new bff. Your body will love and thank you for this powerful boost of antioxidants and the healing benefits of Ginger and Turmeric.

Keeping your immune system in tip-top-shape while supporting your natural gut health should be at the top of your list. This tonic is a super easy way to re-energize your immune system without having to visit your local juice bar.

Reminisce your University days where shots included various kinds of alcohol except this time it’s healthy (feel free to do a couple shots!).

This recipe is:

full of antioxidants, High in Vit C
a powerful anti-inflammatory
improves joint pain and Deliciously Spicy!

My morning ritual starts every day with a Wellness shot. I combine it with 4 oz of warm water and take my time sipping it often while journaling or simply holding white space.

Often I make a double or triple batch, and store it in a sealed glass jar in the fridge and drink it throughout the week adding water it to as needed. I find it’s equally delicious diluted with hot or cold water. Served cold it’s super refreshing after a sweaty hot yoga class. Try boiling some water, add 1-2 oz of your pre-made wellness shot and savour it as a wonderful way to end the day.

Teaching back to back barre classes can be hard on my voice. I find adding a shot of this Wellness Tonic soothes my throat and my vocal cords.

I wanted this accessible to just about anybody, therefore the directions include using a blender. If you have a juicer, follow your juicers instructions and eliminate the water and cut out the straining step.
